WEBSITE DESIGN PROCESS
After finding and selecting a domain name, which I showed in my previous blog, it is time to point my domain to a hosting server and start designing my two websites.
A hosting server is a powerful computer or a network of computers that are specifically designed and configured to store and serve websites, applications, or data to users over the internet. These servers are equipped with hardware and software resources necessary to ensure the availability, performance, and security of hosted content. Hosting servers are responsible for processing user requests, delivering web pages, handling database queries, and performing other tasks required to make online content accessible to visitors.
There are various types of hosting servers, such as web servers that primarily serve web pages, database servers that manage and store data, and application servers that execute software applications. Hosting providers maintain and manage these servers in data centers, ensuring they are consistently up and running to provide uninterrupted online services to their customers. There are a couple of top-rated web hosting providers like Godaddy.com, Hostinger.com, Siteground.com, and blueshost.com.
Before pointing my domain to the hosting server, I did research on Website AI Generators and came up with three good ones. They are 10web, Durable, and Hocos.
Ease Of Use: 10web is absolutely easy to use. It is web-based. Created website including images and copy in less than 5 minutes. Needs a subscription in order to be able to make edits.
Step 1: Once you visit the website, you can either sign up or log in or click on the “Generate Your Website” Button to start generating your website immediately.
Step 2: Next you have an option to either Create a new website with AI or Convert a website to WordPress with AI. I chose the “Create a new website with AI” option.
Step 3: Next you have an option to either Create an informational website or Create a website with an online store.
Step 4: Next you have an option to either Create an informational website or Create a website with an online store.
Step 5: Next you select the type of your business
Step 6: Next you type your business name and describe your company.
Step 7: After describing your company you can click on the “Enhance with AI” text to transform your keywords into a compelling description. I first typed “A Digital Marketing Agency” in the description and the enhance with AI feature changed it to “A Digital Marketing Agency that helps businesses reach their target audience through strategic digital marketing campaigns. Our team specializes in search engine optimization, social media marketing, and pay-per-click advertising.” This feature I found very fascinating.
Step 8: Next You type 3 main services your business provides.

Opinion: I am really impressed and intrigued by how far AI has come. Just a few years back, web design sounded like rocket science. Now websites can be done in minutes. I love the overall design of the website 10 web produced. Providing images and copy as well. Generative AI is really here to make work easier and more efficient. Comparing all the website generators, 10web is my favorite. Although a subscription is needed to make changes. The website structure is amazing.

Opinion: Hocos also generated a website within seconds. The website and copy are also great. Although the website design is quite simple for me, it is well laid out and gets the job done. And with their customization feature, you can edit the website to suit your preference.

Opinion: Durable generated a great website. Unlike 10 web, edits are possible after the website is generated. The structure was also amazing although I personally did not like the site’s color scheme. But that can be changed easily when making edits.
conclusion
Overall, I think AI-generated websites can be a valuable tool for quickly creating simple websites. However, for complex, highly customized, or innovative websites, human expertise is often essential. The ideal approach may involve a combination of AI tools and human intervention, depending on the specific needs and goals of the project. Ultimately, the choice between AI-generated and human-created websites should be based on the project’s requirements and the desired level of customization, creativity, and user experience.
For the two websites, I will be designing, I will not use any of these Website AI Generators. I would like both websites to have some features like a chatbot and language switcher, which cannot be provided by these website AI generators (maybe for now, as of 26th September 2023, I am sure AI developers are constantly working on improving their products). I will use WordPress which is one of the popular website builders and my personal favorite. There are quite a number of good website builders that I use based on a client’s web design demands. Some are Wix, Joomla, Webflow, Drupal and Squarespace . I am currently working on the website design for both websites.
